Douglas Alexander MP for Lothian East constituency
Douglas Alexander MP is encouraging constituents to consider volunteering or donating for the Winter Food Collection, run by Tesco, The Trussel Trust, and FareShare.
The program will take place across East Lothian between Thursday 27th and Saturday 29th November 2025, and will help provide essentials, like food and toiletries, to people in need.
Constituents are urged to consider if they can donate or volunteer. Collection points with volunteers manning them are more likely to receive donations, so volunteering can really help make a difference for those in need.
Douglas Alexander MP said:
“I am glad to hear that the Winter Food Collection is running again this year, and that charities across the UK will benefit from the donations made.
This will make a real difference to those in need across East Lothian this winter, and I would encourage everyone to consider donating if they can.”
