As World Cup fever takes hold across Scotland, Royal Mail is encouraging children and young adults aged 4–18 years of age to send letters of support to the Scotland World Cup Squad.
Letters can be sent, free of charge, to the 2026 Scotland World Cup Squad by writing to ‘World Class Letters, Freepost Scotland.’
As part of the campaign, letters submitted during the competition period, 18 June to 19 July, will be entered into a prize draw, with winning entries securing £1,500 to spend on sports kit for a nominated school or sports club.
Welcoming the initiative, Douglas Alexander MP said:
“Like football, letters can bring people together, helping to connect communities across Scotland and around the world.
“I welcome this Royal Mail initiative encouraging young people to put pen to paper and write to Scotland’s World Cup squad. It gives them a simple, but meaningful way to share their excitement and support with the Scottish players.
“I hope that young people across East Lothian will join in with the campaign and show their support by writing a letter to the squad before 19th July.”
Letters should be submitted by a parent, guardian or teacher on behalf of the child or young adult, during the campaign period. Entrants should supply a return address or contact details to be automatically entered into the Prize Draw.
