Sepsis is the body’s life-threatening reaction to an infection and affects over 245,000 people every year in the UK. It can affect anyone but is often treatable if caught early.

That is why, this Sepsis Awareness Month, the UK Sepsis Trust’s message is simple. If someone with an infection is getting worse instead of better – and something feels seriously wrong – trust your instincts and act quickly.

Commenting, Douglas Alexander MP said:

“This Sepsis Awareness Month, I’m joining the UK Sepsis Trust to share the message: trust your instincts. If you or a loved one has an infection and just know something’s wrong, just ask: “Could it be Sepsis?”

Awareness can save lives, so please help the UK Sepsis Trust get this message in front of as many people as possible.
