Commenting on the news that NHS Lothian has approved Sustaining Dunbar’s bid to buy the Belhaven Community Garden site, Douglas Alexander MP said:
“I welcome NHS Lothian’s decision to approve Sustaining Dunbar’s bid to purchase the Belhaven Community Garden space.
“It was one of first places I visited after being elected and the many benefits it provides for the health and wellbeing of local people were very clear.
“I was pleased to add my support to the bid to buy the land and hope it can now proceed and ensure the garden’s future as a valuable community-owned space for all.”
