Douglas Alexander MP has visited the First Step community project in Musselburgh to meet staff and board members and receive an update on the project’s work with local families.
The First Step team told Douglas about the history of First Step, an overview and impact of its services within the community and the challenges facing charities at this current time.
“I was pleased to meet with the team at First Step in Musselburgh to discuss the vital role this project plays in supporting families with young children.
“For over 30 years, First Step has been at the heart of the local community, providing a welcoming space where families can find support, build resilience, and give their children the best possible start in life.
“I appreciated the opportunity to hear about their future plans and the challenges they face as they continue to deliver such vital services for local families.”
